Who is this website for?
For homeowners who want to understand air duct cleaning before they spend money on it. We explain what to look for, what to ask, and when a different kind of maintenance—or no cleaning at all—may make more sense.
You should be able to use the advice without hiring anyone or giving us your contact details.
Who owns it, and are there commercial ties?
FindADuctCleaner is a publication operated by Data Driven Comfort LLC, which does business as Better Air Spokane. Andy Brunsch owns and operates Better Air Spokane and contributes field experience. His brother Matt owns Better Air Northwest, and Matt’s son Blake manages its operations. Another brother, Justin, owns and operates Better Air NW in Seattle, which provides duct cleaning and HVAC work. Andy’s professional field material for this project comes from work involving Better Air Spokane and Better Air Northwest.
Those are real commercial and family connections. They inform practical questions but don’t make any of those companies a verified recommendation. This publication is not independent of those interests. Its editorial commitment is to give useful advice even when the answer doesn’t lead to a purchase.
We use the same evaluation criteria for affiliated contractors and other companies. Payment, ownership or a referral relationship must not silently influence assessment results or contractor quality assessments. We do not sell ranking positions. There are currently no verified contractor listings on this site.
The publication is not financially independent of its operator or related interests. No contractor receives reader information automatically. Any future commercial arrangement must be explained before a reader chooses to share information.
How do we support the advice?
We keep three kinds of information distinct:
- Published guidance. Sources such as EPA and relevant authorities, with industry guidance identified as such. A trade association’s advice is not government regulation.
- Practical judgment. Our explanation of what a homeowner might ask or do next. The assessment falls in this category; it is not a scientifically validated diagnostic test.
- Firsthand field notes. Attributed to an identifiable contributor, checked against actual records, and cleared for privacy and publication. Professional-media authorization alone does not clear a customer image or its context for this website.
Hypothetical examples are labeled. We don’t invent jobs, customer stories, measurements or quotations to make a point sound more convincing. We do not present customer photographs or real case studies on these pages.
What does editorial review require?
An article should answer the question in its heading, explain unfamiliar words, and leave you knowing what to look for or ask. It should also say when a recommendation rests on limited information.
We check the sources behind important claims, safety advice, and any bias toward buying an unnecessary service. Articles and assessment results should give consistent advice. Content and rendered-site review are separate checks; the author’s own checks do not replace independent review.
Duct cleaning must not be sold here as a guaranteed health, airflow or energy improvement. A photograph must not be used as evidence of an area it doesn’t show. If we haven’t established a fact, we should say so.
How can I ask a question or report an error?
Email contact is being prepared and is not available yet. This review candidate has no working contact form or monitored address to offer.
If you are asking about a company in your area, a city and state is enough. Please leave out your street address, medical details and other private records. We may not have a company to suggest.
Asking for help does not give us permission to send your information to a contractor. Any introduction would need your separate approval of the named contractor and exact information to share. We do not promise a response time or provide emergency help.
You never need to contact us to use the assessment, read the guides or compare estimates. See what happens to your information.
Sources and review status
These sources support the guidance and explain its limits.
Examples labeled hypothetical or fictional are teaching examples. No customer inspection or cleaning result is being presented as evidence.
